The European Centre for Financial Law was pleased to organise on 29 January 2020, in partnership with the Geopolitical Studies Group, a conference on the issue of market abuse regulation.
Entitled “Punishing market abuse in Europe: what excesses? what shortcomings? “the conference’s guiding theme was the identification of avenues that could or should be followed by the reform of the Regulation envisaged by the European legislator, and gave rise to a debate between regulators, academics and financial law practitioners.
We had the opportunity to welcome Maxime Galland, Director of the Legal and International Expertise Division of the AMF; Dominique Bompoint, Avocat à la Cour, and Lé Quang Tran Van, Director of Financial Affairs at AFEP and member of European Issuers. The discussions were moderated by Alain Pietrancosta, Professor of Law, member of LabEx ReFi and Scientific Director of the Centre.
We would like to warmly thank these speakers, as well as all the guests present – lawyers, AMF members and researchers – for the quality of their presentations and the ensuing discussions.
